Position Summary: The Enrichment Partner position provides engaging person directed programing, which includes relationship-based meaningful and individualized activities, providing choices, and encouraging the members to be as independent as possible. This position receives supervision from the Director/Coordinator of Life Enrichment. This position is an essential part of the interdisciplinary team and assists with enriching the daily lives of the members.
Provides an Enriching Person Directed Environment by offering meaningful and purposeful programs that are tailored to the specific needs and abilities of each member.
Helps to create and implement a program that promotes the member’s highest level of interaction with the seven dimensions of wellness and creative aging which includes evidenced based programs. Programs may include but not limited to; Tai Chi, Yoga, Strength Training, balance exercise, creative arts, aroma therapy, intergenerational activities, vocational experiences, drumming circles, and various other musical experiences.
As a member of the multidisciplinary team and under the direction of the
Director/Coordinator of Life Enrichment, assists with assessment, development and implementation of the members Essential Lifestyle Plan and encouraging each member to achieve their personal preferences and personal goals. Actively participates in team conferencing by providing multidisciplinary team with member information.
Assessments through observations and interactions that members are experiencing pleasure in a specific program or showing signs of emotional discomfort, and communicates those results to the team during the Essential Lifestyle Plan, or sooner whenever they occur with a member. Assures all documentation is complete and accurate in all member/program files.
Encourages independence and coaching through activities of daily living and assists only when necessary, such as, but not limited to: Spa services such as; shower, shampoo or shaving, foot care, skin care, nails, help in the restroom, and assistance when eating. Assists and encourages the members to have a choice in their daily routine, preferred engaging meaningful activities, as well as greeting members, offering snacks, serving meals, cleaning up, etc. Clean and sanitize all eating areas.
Leads the staff and volunteers in creating a meaningful enrichment program.
Establishes, maintains and fosters appropriate applications of the Life Enrichment Program policies and procedures, maintains current policy and procedure manuals for the center.
Responsible for maintaining on going outreach to community families and professionals. Provides referrals for members and caregivers to Benevilla and other community resources as needed.
Participates in all staff meetings as required. Maintains current CPR, First Aid Training, and AED. Maintains Food Managers Certificate Level 1 Fingerprint Card, Annual TB test.
Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-service and other community assignments. Help to serve and conduct point of service meal counts for CACFP.
Performs other duties as assigned.
