Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to lead, facilitate, and complete Benevilla Support Groups. This position provides emotional, social, and/or educations support to all members who attend the Support Groups.
Serve as primary caregiver support group facilitator for Benevilla-sanctioned groups. Serve as liaison for Benevilla and co-facilitators, whether staff or volunteer. Provide emotional, social, and/or educational support to all support group attendees.
Submit monthly reports in a timely manner to Area Agency on Aging, Region One, Director Benevilla CARES, or other reports to program designees as assigned. Complete program data reports accurately and in a timely manner through the Benevilla Electronic Records Management System
Knowledge and understanding of any grants that pertain to the support groups.
Provide advocacy and resource knowledge as needed. Encourage participants to provide assistance and emotional support to one another.
Maintain regular communication with caregivers who attend the support group to ensure resources and knowledge of support groups are communicated to them.
Researches timely caregiver information/resources and create caregiver newsletters monthly and submit to Director of CARES.
Setting up educational speaking engagements for support groups on a regular basis.
Present Benevilla materials and information on a regular basis to support group attendees.
Performs other duties as assigned.
