Position Summary: Working in a team oriented, customer centered environment and creates an exceptional dining experience for all Birt’s Bistro and Catering customers. Responsible for promoting good staff/customer relations through consistent implementation of company standards. Creates great impressions by delivering service excellence while performing all related duties.
Guide customers through the menus while demonstrating knowledge of the food and beverages. Take accurate orders and partners with the team members to serve food and beverage that exceed customer expectations.
Maintain proper hygiene and food safety standards.
Ensure that the food prepared confirms to specifics of the customer orders; initiates the procedures to fulfill those orders.
Work with the kitchen staff in preparing the food in the correct table wares or packaging if for take-out.
Clean the table and surrounding areas after the customer departs. Prepare the area for the next customer to ensure a positive dining experience.
Perform cashiering work and closing duties.
Perform hostess duties as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
